IUPAK stands for “Intresseföreningen UPpsala Akademiska Kemister” or Uppsala Academic Chemists’ Association and is the so-called section association for the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in Chemistry at Uppsala University. As a section association, we are appointed by the Union of Science and Engineering Students at Uppsala University (UTN) to represent and work for the interests of the students we represent.
In practice, this means that we keep ourselves informed about the quality of the education and about what students think of their courses and programmes as a whole. If there is something we believe should be changed, improved, or at least brought to attention, we make sure that the issue reaches the university, the student union, or both.
Our activities also include events and activities, both related and unrelated to our studies, for students who are members of our section association.
The board consists of nine students who have overall responsibility for ensuring that the organisation’s operations run smoothly and comply with our statutes. The board also works to represent students’ opinions and interests, both within the university and in other contexts.
Presentations of the board members can be found under the “The Board” tab.
